Redesign for Academy of Holy Angels

Today we are excited to share with you a recent project for Academy of Holy Angels (AHA). AHA is a welcoming Catholic, coeducational, college-preparatory high school located in Richfield, Minnesota. With students from all over the Twin Cities metro area it is a diverse group of students supported by excellent teachers, coaches and staff.

The Mission

AHA came to Three Eyed Bird looking to redesign their website. Their current website had been built many years ago and was ready for a bit of a refresh. They were looking for a website that was responsive to fit the needs of new mobile browsing and a better way to feature the school news and happenings to the different groups of people the website serves - students, alumni, and parents.

The Outcome

Here at the nest we worked with AHA to review their needs for a new website design. We came up with a updated design that included new features such as a blog that using tags provides a feed unique to each of the different groups of users for their website.

These different feeds are featured on a unique landing page for each of the user groups. This provides a quick and easy way for AHA staff to update that group with information that is relative only to them or to all of the user groups. Using Twitter Bootstrap as our framework and MODX as a CMS we were able to give AHA a responsive website that is easy for them to keep up-to-date themselves.
