Here at the nest we are excited to share with you a recent project for the Center for Grief, Loss and Transition a program of FamilyMeans. The Center for Grief, Loss & Transition provides specialized therapy and education for complicated grief, trauma and life transition. Located in St. Paul, the Center's staff includes licensed psychologists, marriage and family therapists, clinical social workers and professional counselors. The Center for Grief is a program of FamilyMeans, a Stillwater-based nonprofit, dedicated to offering hope during the difficult times in people's lives.
With the mobile browsing trend growing the Center for Grief, Loss and Transition team came to us concerned that visitors to their website were not getting the best experience when browsing using a mobile device. Having worked with us to make the main FamilyMeans website responsive they had decided it would be a good idea to also make the Center's website responsive as well.
Using Twitter Bootstrap as our framework base and the current website design we rebuilt the MODX templates and rewrote much of CSS making the website responsive. This gave them the ability to provide a good browsing experience no matter the device a user was on. With us making no changes to the content or the design we were able to provide them the responsive website they were looking for while staying well within their budget.
