Today we are excited to share with you a recent project for one our longtime favorite clients FamilyMeans. FamilyMeans offers many programs to help families and individuals in need. Whether you're looking for counseling or therapy help, assistance in managing debt, financial planning, budgets, or money management, caregiver support, youth programs, and much more in the St. Croix Valley and surrounding areas, FamilyMeans can help strengthen your family and community.
With the mobile browsing trend growing FamilyMeans came to us concerned that visitors to their website were not getting the best experience when browsing using a mobile device. Having worked with us to redesign their website just a few years prior they weren't ready to invest in a full redesign again and were looking for an in-between solution to the problem.
Working with the team at FamilyMeans we looked at their site analytics and helped make some recommendations for tweaks based on user feedback. We also sugguested some design changes on their homepage based on some of the changes the organization had made since we launched the redesign prior and new needs arising from those. Using Twitter Bootstrap as our framework base we rebuilt the MODX templates and rewrote much of CSS making the website responsive. This gave them the ability to provide a good browsing experience no matter the device a user was on. Also with tweaks to the homepage design we were able to give the website a more vibrate feel to reflect the vibrancy of the organization.
